21st January 2025
British Journal of Photography and JCDecaux UK are delighted to announce the winners of Portrait of Britain 2025, celebrating the diverse and resilient spirit of the nation. For the next month, JCDecaux digital screens on high streets, in shopping malls and transport hubs will be transformed into a nationwide portrait gallery by displaying 100 winning portraits that reflect the rich and diverse heritage of modern Britain.
Every year since 2016, British Journal of Photography has partnered with JCDecaux UK to bring Portrait of Britain to digital screens UK-wide. This is the UK's biggest annual photography exhibition, reminding audiences of the extraordinary strength we share and the beauty found in every person’s story.
“I couldn’t imagine a better way to start the New Year than with Portrait of Britain on our national network of Out-of-Home digital screens - showcasing the power of the public screen to reach audiences out and about in cities across the UK. It is a joyous, inclusive and thought-provoking celebration of what it means to live in Britain today – and we’d like to thank our partners for working with us to display it across Rail, Mall, Airport and city-centre environments.”
