Victoria Station is our Fearne Cotton.
Fearne likes to keep abreast of the news headlines but also has a soft spot for the latest celebrity gossip. She likes to look and smell good, and isn’t afraid to pay a premium for luxury. Understandably, someone so image conscious likes to be seen out regularly. Domestic aesthetics are also important to Fearne, as is trying to recreate at home the restaurant dishes she’s enjoyed.
If you combine the concourse/trackside AdGate impacts you will find the number of red-top tabloid readers is more than the combined total of mid-market and broadsheet newspaper readers at the station.
The average Victoria station commuter likes to be stylish and is very brand driven, delivering high impacts for stores like House of Fraser and John Lewis. They also have an affinity for fun, young and feminine high-street brands such as H&M, Topshop and Zara.
Fearne is a prime target for Out of Home advertising, as she likes to enjoy her leisure time by being out and about often. Frequent visits to the cinema and restaurants back this up. All of that R&R comes at a price, and doesn’t she know it - hence the regular excursions to the gym.
That’s not to suggest that Fearne doesn’t feel that home is where her heart is. Her liking of Argos and Homebase substantiate this. If you’ve got a handsome home, you’d want to show it off with a dinner party or two, and the food is sure to be cooked from scratch as Fearne never spends money on takeaway food.
All data is taken from Route January 2016 and based upon combined concourse/trackside AdGate impacts for a two-week period at London Victoria including trains to Gatwick.
